SECI’s latest round of solar project auctions has again pushed tariffs to record lows. Winning bids in several ISTS-connected and state-specific tenders have come in well below ₹2.50/kWh, reflecting intense competition and lower module and financing costs.
For commercial and industrial offtakers and state discoms, these tariffs mean long-term power purchase at very competitive rates. For developers, margins remain thin and execution efficiency is key. The trend underlines India’s position as one of the lowest-cost solar markets globally.
